Sopoco Renewable Energy Solutions (The Company) regards the promotion of health, safety and welfare as an integral part of the company’s business goals and have therefore allocated adequate resources to support the objectives of this policy.

The company acknowledges the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and understands its legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related health and safety legislation. In response to its legal obligations the company has structured its policy arrangements to ensure that high standards in health and safety are achieved whilst complying with all relevant statutes and standards.

In order to achieve the above, the company will as far as reasonable practicable:

• Provide adequate resources for ensuring effective management and proper monitoring of health and safety arrangements within the company;
• Ensure a systematic approach to risk assessment and control;
• Provide a safe & healthy working environment, including safe systems of work and well maintained plant, equipment and machinery;
• Provide such information, instruction, supervision and training as is necessary and ensuring that current Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2007) and all relevant standards are maintained;
• Increase the awareness of all employees to their responsibilities for the health and safety of themselves and others;
• Provide suitable arrangements for employee consultation on matters relating to health, safety and welfare;
• To ensure that construction work is undertaken in strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and welfare and construction regulations;
• To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health and provide adequate control of Health and Safety risks arising from work activities.

In order to ensure its effectiveness and suitability, this Policy will be reviewed periodically and revised where necessary to accommodate changes in legislation and to incorporate additional operational requirements that result from changes in the nature and scope of our business.
