Set up by friends David Cracknell and Russell Brown, Sopoco, The Solar Power Company was born out of a passion for solar power and helping people take control of their energy.

In a fast growing industry Russell and David noticed that many companies where more interested in fitting as many solar panels as possible to a property with no understanding of the customers energy usage and never visiting the customers property. The duo wanted to take the time to support people with their journey into renewables and help them avoid the many pitfalls.

David Cracknell - Managing Director

David has worked in renewable energy for over 6 years and has a detailed understanding of the holistic approach of how to design systems that provide the customer with the best possible performance and return on investment. With over 20 year’s experience in construction David also understands all of the different elements of an installation from planning and preparations through to onsite installation and handover.

Russell Brown - Technical Director

Russell is a fully qualified electrical engineer with over 10 years experience. A highly regarded trades person in the local area with a keen eye for detail and a passion for customer satisfaction. Keeping installations neat and tidy, Russell is extremely particular about his work and ensures everything installed is in line with all current regulations.

Sopoco is a small, dedicated and highly skilled team who make sure you are supported during your journey into renewables.
