Installation Support
Sometimes things don’t work quite as they are suppose to, and solar is no different. Power surges, blackouts, internet drop outs and more can cause a solar system to stop operating the way it’s meant to. As your installer we are always here to support you, but the day to day operation of your system is the responsibility of the manufacture and should be your first port of call.
However that said there a re few checks you can do as the system owner before reaching out to anyone as there could a quick resolution that you can do yourself and even if you can’t you will be asked simple questions that you will have answers to.
First Checks
Follow the following checks to find the reason for your system issues:
- Check the inverter. Are there any lights being displayed and what colour are they. Green usually means everything is ok, red means there is a fault.
- If there are no lights on, then there could be a good chance that there is no power getting to the inverter so check the consumer unit we fitted for the solar and check all of the breakers are “On”. Sometimes these can trip causing the system to turn off.
- Login to your app/portal and see what information you can see, if there is no information displayed but the power to the inverter is on and there are green lights then its probably an internet connection issue. Turn your home wifi off for a few minutes and see if connection is re-established once you turn it back on.
If once you have checked these and all seems ok, reach out to your manufacture and ask them to login to your system and diagnose the problem you have noticed.

Before contacting your system manufacture you will need your inverter serial number. This can be found on the side of the inverter. From this number the manufacture will be able to find your system.
