Key Responsibilities:

• Installation:Install solar panels, racking systems, and other components on residential and commercial rooftops following industry standards and project specifications.
• Site Assessment:Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability of roofs for solar installations.
• System Testing and Troubleshooting:Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency, addressing any issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Maintenance and Repair:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing solar panel systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment.
• Documentation:Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs, including photos, technical specifications, and customer interactions.
• Customer Interaction:Communicate effectively with customers to explain the installation process, answer questions, and provide post-installation support.
• Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with other team members, including electricians, engineers, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Training and Development:Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

 Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a solar panel installer, roofer, or similar role in the construction or renewable energy industry.
• Strong understanding of solar panel systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and building codes.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications in solar installation or related fields are preferred.
• GCSEs or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification is a plus.
• CSCS Card

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily takes place on rooftops and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Regular travel to different job sites is required.
